HITA conducted a survey to determine if there is sufficient interest in pursuing another form of transportation to the island because of issues with the Ferry. This was never intended to be a vote. It was merely a quick look at residents opinions. We hired a professional company to conduct the survey and spent significant funds to do so. We understand that perhaps due to Covid or other reasons not everyone may have received the survey or participated. However, there is sufficient interest in other forms of transportation so HITA will proceed with its mission. There will not be another survey.
